Removal & Disassembly
- Raise vehicle and remove rear wheel. Remove brake hose "C" clip from lower strut mount. See Figure . Remove anti-lock brake harness and bracket. Remove trunk side trim.
- On models with 4-wheel steering, remove upper strut bar-to-strut bolt and disconnect strut. Remove 2 nuts and upper strut bar-to-strut bracket. On all models, remove screws and Auto Adjust Suspension (AAS) actuator (if equipped). Remove 3 upper strut mount-to-body nuts. Remove lower strut mount nuts and bolts. Remove strut assembly.
- Clamp strut securely in soft-jawed vise. Compress coil spring. Remove lower lock nut and washer. Remove remaining components and note order for reassembly.
