Self-Diagnostic System: AAS-7
- Turn ignition off. Unplug selection switch connector. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between ground and Black/Yellow connector wire. If 12 volts is not present, replace "METER" fuse or repair Black/Yellow wire.
- Check voltage between ground and Black wire of harness. If voltage is present, repair short to voltage. If voltage is not present, check Black wire for continuity to ground. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire. Check continuity of Blue/Yellow wire between control unit and selection switch.
- If voltage and continuity checks are okay, turn ignition off and reconnect selection switch connector. Operate selection switch while checking voltage on terminal "D" at control unit. If a voltage pulse is detected when switch is operated, replace control unit. If no voltage pulse is detected, replace selection switch.
