Suspension - Electronic: Description

The Auto Adjust Suspension (AAS) is an electronically controlled, variable shock absorbing system. The suspension damping characteristics are selected by the driver through a dashboard-mounted selection switch. Driver can select "SOFT," "NORMAL" or "SPORT" suspension ride.

In "AUTO" setting, suspension damping regulation is selected by the control unit based upon driving conditions. Steering wheel angle and speed sensors continuously report on these operating conditions. This information relayed to control unit to override all commands and apply appropriate suspension damping. The system is equipped with a self-diagnostic function.
