Rear Disc Brake Pads: Removal

  1. Raise and support rear of vehicle. Remove wheel. Release parking brake and disconnect parking brake cable from caliper.
  2. Remove lower caliper attaching bolt. Rotate caliper upward. Wire caliper out of way. Remove brake pads and shims. Minimum pad lining thickness is .08" (2 mm) on 929 and .04" (1 mm) on all other models.
