Fuel Gauge
- If fuel gauge is inoperative, check for blown fuse or damaged wiring. If fuel and temperature gauge are inoperative, inspect instrument voltage regulator.
- Disconnect wire to sending unit at fuel tank. Check resistance between connector and ground. See FUEL GAUGE RESISTANCE table.
- Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Allow 2 minutes for needle to stabilize, compare needle position with resistance values. SeeFig 1 . Allowable needle position variation is twice the width of the needle. If needle position and resistance do not agree, replace fuel gauge unit.
