Fuel Gauge Sending Unit

  1. Remove rear seat and access cover. Disconnect hose and remove fuel tank sending unit with cover. Connect an ohmmeter to the fuel tank unit.
  2. Move unit arm slowly through travel range and check resistance. Resistance should be 3 ohms at full position, 33 ohms at mid-range and 110 ohms at empty position. If incorrect, replace sending unit.
