Valve Body: Installation

  1. Set manual shaft in Neutral position. Align manual plate with groove in manual valve. Position valve body. Install bolts to location marked at removal. Tighten bolts to 48-65 INCH lbs. (5.4-7.3 N.m). Ensure control lever can be moved to all positions.
  2. Install downshift solenoid and vacuum diaphragm with rod. Rod must not interfere with side plate of valve body. Install oil pan with new gasket. Tighten pan bolts to 53-68 INCH lbs. (5.9-7.7 N.m). Tighten clamps for governor tube and ATF cooler tubes. Refill ATF.
