Disassembly (RX7)
- Remove drum support-to-overdrive case retaining bolts. Mark overdrive case and drum support for reassembly to original location. Remove drum support.
- Remove accumulator snap ring. See Figure
. Apply air pressure to oil passage and remove accumulator plug, piston and spring. See Fig 1
. Check overdrive control valve to ensure valve moves freely. See Fig 2
. Remove one-way valve and steel ball from overdrive case. See Fig 3
