Fuel Gauge Sending Unit
- On 626 models, remove rear seat and access cover. Disconnect hose and remove fuel gauge sending unit with cover. Connect an ohmmeter to the fuel tank unit. On 323 models, disconnect main fuel hose, return fuel hose and evaporation hoses. Remove mounting bolts and fuel tank. Remove fuel tank unit from fuel tank.
- Move unit arm slowly through travel range and check resistance. Resistance should be 3 ohms at full position, 33 ohms at mid-range and 110 ohms at empty position. If incorrect, replace sending unit.
