Governor Pressure Test

  1. Governor pressure test should only be used if vehicle shift speeds are different than those indicated in SHIFT SPEED chart. Install pressure gauge in governor pressure port on transmission case. Use Pipe Adapter (49 H075 406) to connect both pressure gauge and governor pipe at same time.
  2. Read pressure with vehicle running at speeds indicated in GOVERNOR PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS  table under HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS. If pressures are incorrect, disassemble and clean governor assembly. Repeat tests after reinstalling governor.
