Valve Body: Installation

  1. Set manual shaft in Neutral position. Align manual plate with groove in manual valve. Install valve body. Tighten 7 bolts to 48-65 INCH lbs. (5.4-7.3 .m). Make sure control lever can be moved to all positions.
  2. Install downshift solenoid and vacuum diaphragm with rod. Rod must not interfere with side plate of valve body. Install oil pan with new gasket. Tighten pan bolts to 52.8-68.4 INCH lbs. (5.9-7.7 N.m). Tighten clamps for governor tube and ATF cooler tubes. Refill ATF.
