Oil Pump Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Take cover off pump housing. On 3N71B and L3N71B models, remove speed cut valve and lock-up control valve. On E4N71B models, remove lock-up valve retaining pin with punch.
  2. Remove lock-up control valve and spring. On all models, match mark inner and outer gears with quick-drying ink or paint for reassembly reference. Remove gears from housing.
