Direct Clutch & High-Reverse Clutch: Inspection

Inspect lined plates for wear or fatigue. Check coil spring retainer and replace if deformed. Ensure that coil spring has not lost tension. Inspect seal around piston and "O" ring inside clutch drum for damage. Replace all parts which show undue wear or fatigue. Standard plate thickness is .059-.065" (1.50-1.65 mm) Minimum thickness is .055" (1.4 mm).
