Band Servo Piston: Disassembly

Remove 3 bolts attaching band servo retainer to transmission case. Take out retainer and servo piston. Lift out return spring. If servo retainer is difficult to free from case, remove by forcing compressed air into oil hole on piston release side. Blow compressed air into oil hole on apply side of servo piston to remove piston from retainer. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
