Component Testing: Tachometer

Connect a known acurate test tachometer to negative side of the ignition coil. Start engine to compare vehicle tachometer reading with test tachometer. If there is major error, replace vehicle tachometer. See TACHOMETER RPM INDICATION chart for tachometer interpetation.
