Removal (Pickup)

Remove wheel and tire assembly, then remove brake drum and brake shoes. Remove parking brake cable retainer and disconnect brake lines at wheel cylinders. Remove nuts attaching backing plate and bearing housing to axle housing, then pull axle shaft, backing plate, bearing housing assembly, and shims off axle housing.
