Intake & Exhaust Manifold Removal
- Remove air cleaners and carburetors and disconnect distributor vacuum line. On 1962-67 cars, disconnect heater pipe from manifold.
- Remove six exhaust pipe-to-manifold clamp bolts and lower pipe. Remove nuts holding manifold to head. Note that four nuts in center section of manifold have large washers and two outer nuts use small washers. Reinstall washers in same position during reassembly. To install manifolds, reverse removal procedure.
