DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition HUD U0401:82 Invalid Data Received from ECM/PCM A: Alive/Sequence Counter Incorrect/Not Updated Invalid or missing cruise control/ACC data or engine power data received for 5 seconds or longer. HUD U0424:00 Invalid Data Received From HVAC Control Module: No Sub Type Information Invalid or missing outside air temperature data received for 5 seconds or longer. Outside air temperature displays as all dashes. HUD U0424:81 Invalid Data Received From HVAC Control Module: Invalid Serial Data Received Invalid or missing outside air temperature data received for 5 seconds or longer. Outside air temperature displays as all dashes. HUD U0424:82 Invalid Data Received From HVAC Control Module: Alive/Sequence Counter Incorrect/Not Updated Invalid or missing outside air temperature data received for 5 seconds or longer. Outside air temperature displays as all dashes. HUD U0429:81 Invalid Data Received From Steering Column Control Module: Invalid Serial Data Received Invalid or missing ambient lighting data received for 5 seconds or longer. - L1 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE MODULE SENDING INVALID DATA
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the self-test for the module in question sending the invalid data.
