Parking Assist Control Module (PAM): Removal

  1. NOTE: If installing a new PAM, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new PAM after installation.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the PAM following the onscreen instructions.

  2. Remove the front scuff plate trim panel. Refer to: Front Scuff Plate Trim Panel .
    • Remove the nut, the pin-type retainers and the RH (right-hand) insulation panel.

    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

  3. Position the carpet for access.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors and position aside it.

  5. Remove the fasteners and the PAM.

    Torque: 7 lb.in (0.8 Nm)
