Parking Aid Camera Initialization

Initialization 

All vehicles 

1. Using a scan tool, carry out a network test to determine if the IPMB function is contained in the BCM or a stand-alone IPMB.

   Vehicles not equipped with a stand-alone image processing module B 

2. Using the path shown carry out a LIN new module initialization.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Check the vehicle for the active guidelines option. Refer to description and operation in the appropriate vehicle article.
5. NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected or discharged the active guidelines may be inoperative until the following step is carried out.

   If equipped with active guidelines, drive the vehicle on a flat, smooth road at 32 km/h (20 mph) or more, with hands placed loosely on the steering wheel and minimal steering correction for approximately 30 seconds.

6. Using the path shown carry out a LIN new module initialization.
