Pinpoint Test O : The Door Ajar Warning RTT (RECONFIGURABLE Telltale) Indicator Is Never Or Always On

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
See Door, Liftgate, Hood Ajar. REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation and Component Description .

If a door ajar (driver door, passenger door, left rear door, right rear door, liftgate or hood) status message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the door, liftgate or hood ajar RTT indicator to the last indication state (on or off), based upon the last message received.

If a door ajar (driver door, passenger door, left rear door, right rear door, liftgate or hood) status message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the door, liftgate or hood ajar RTT indicator off.

O1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Clear all message center warnings by pressing the OK button for each warning present.
- Monitor the charging system RTT warning indicator.
- Start the engine.
- Monitor the charging system RTT warning indicator.
Does the charging system RTT indicator turn on with the KOEO and turn off with the KOER?

Yes GO to O2

No GO to Pinpoint Test A

O2 CHECK THE INTERIOR LIGHTING OPERATION
- Open and close each door while monitoring the interior lamps.
Do the interior lamps operate correctly with each door?

Yes GO to O3

No REFER to: Interior Lighting .

O3 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes REFER to the IPC DTC Chart. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Chart

No GO to O4

O4 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes REFER to: Communications Network .

No GO to O5

O5 PERFORM THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST

Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.

Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes	REFER to: Body Control Module (BCM) .

If the door, hood or liftgate ajar RTT indicator is never on, GO to O6 If the door or liftgate ajar RTT is always on, GO to O6 If the hood ajar RTT indicator is never on with the hood open, DIAGNOSE the perimeter alarm does not arm from the hood. REFER to: Perimeter Anti-Theft Alarm . If the hood ajar RTT indicator is always on, DIAGNOSE any hood ajar related BCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to: Perimeter Anti-Theft Alarm .

O6 CHECK FOR CORRECT IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) OPERATION

Ignition OFF.

Disconnect and inspect the IPC connector.

Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary

Reconnect the IPC connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.

Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

Is the concern still present?

Yes	CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .

No	The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
