Pinpoint Test V : U3001:98

  1. DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 
    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    HUD U3001:98 Control Module Improper Shutdown Performance: Component Or System Over Temperature Sets in continuous memory when the HUD module detects the Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are over-temperature.

    Possible Sources 

    • HUD module

  2. V1 CLEAR THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Remove the vehicle from direct sunlight and allow the interior of the vehicle to cool.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    • Wait 10 seconds.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the HUD module self-test.

    Is DTC U3001:98 still present? 

    Yes  INSTALL a new HUD module. REFER to: Head Up Display (HUD) Module .
    No  TEST the system for normal operation.
