HUD Control Switch

The HUD functions are controlled using the upper RH steering wheel switch, through the IPC message center menu. The RH steering wheel switch connects to the SIMA. The SIMA is connected to the SCCM (without adaptive steering) or SASM (with adaptive steering) through a private CAN. The SCCM or SASM receives the switch signals from the SIMA over the private CAN, then sends the switch signals to the IPC through the GWM over the HS-CAN3 to operate the HUD selections in the message center.
