Transmission Range (TR) Sensor: Removal

- Remove the main control valve body. Refer to: Main Control Valve Body .
- Disconnect the manual park release linkage.
- Remove the bolt and position aside the park-by-wire support bracket and spring.
- Remove and discard the TR sensor roll pin. Use the General Equipment: Punch

NOTE: Make sure the manual control shaft sleeve does not fall into the transmission.
Remove the manual control shaft and lever.
- Remove the manual control shaft sleeve.

NOTE: Do not allow the park pawl actuator rod to slide out of the transmission case too far or it can become disengaged from the park pawl. Transmission removal and disassembly is required to install the park pawl actuator rod on the park pawl.
Rotate the TR sensor detent plate clockwise, remove the park pawl actuating rod from the TR sensor and remove the TR sensor.
