Main Control Cover: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the LH air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe LH .
- Remove the RH air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
- Disconnect the turbocharger bypass valve electrical connector and detach the wire harness retainer from the mounting stud.

- Detach the retainer.
- Loosen the clamp.
- Remove the bolt and position aside the RH intake pipe.
- Loosen the clamp and remove the RH intake pipe.
- Remove the battery. Refer to: Battery .
- Remove the push pins and the radiator sight shield.
- Remove the upper radiator guide pins and support the radiator using tie straps.
- Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.
- Remove the retainers and the front under body shield.
- Remove the bolts and the lower radiator support.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the LH intake pipe.
- Detach the coolant hose from the starter motor bracket.
- Disconnect the transmission electrical connector.
- Slide the locking clip.
- Press the tab.
- While pressing the tab, rotate the connector latch.
- Remove the nut, wiring harness retainers and position aside the wiring harness.
- Drain the transmission fluid.
Torque
: 124 lb.in (14 Nm)
- Remove the bolts and the main control cover.
