Transmission Case: Assembly

- Install the transfer shaft tube fluid funnel on the special tool. Use Special Service Tool: 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle., 307-772 Installer, Oil Funnel.
- Align the bleed hole in the transfer shaft tube fluid funnel with the notch towards the top of the transmission.
- Using the special tool, install the transfer shaft tube fluid funnel. Use Special Service Tool: 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle., 307-583 Oil dam seal installer.
- Install the transfer shaft bearing cup on the special tool. Use Special Service Tool: 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle., 307-576 Bearing Cup Installer.
- Using the special tool and the general equipment, press the transfer shaft bearing cup into the transmission case. Use Special Service Tool: 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle., 307-576 Bearing Cup Installer. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press
- Install the differential bearing cup on the special tool. Use Special Service Tool: 307-689 Installer, Bearing Cup., 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle.
- Using the special tool and the general equipment, press the differential bearing cup into the transmission case. Use Special Service Tool: 307-689 Installer, Bearing Cup., 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press
- Install the parking pawl abutment and the parking pawl abutment pins.
- Install the park pawl and the park pawl shaft.
- Install the park pawl return spring.
- Install the park rod guide plate and the bolts.
Torque
: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Remove the torque converter housing differential and transfer shaft bearing races to select a new differential or transfer shaft shim. Refer to: Torque Converter Housing .
