Coolant Outlet Connector: Installation

- Lubricate the inside and outside diameter of the grommet with clean engine coolant. Refer to: Specifications 2.7L EcoBoost .
- Install the grommet.

NOTE: Verify the locating tab is aligned to the coolant outlet connector.

Connect the coolant inlet pipe.

Place the coolant outlet connector and inlet pipe assembly into the intake valley. Verify the locator dowel is fully seated into the engine block.

Install and tighten the fasteners. Connect the coolant hoses and install the hose clamps. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
Torque

: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

- Connect the coolant hose and tighten the hose clamp.
  Torque
  
  : 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Depress the tabs and connect the coolant tube.
- Depress the tabs and connect the coolant tube.

Install the coolant pump. Refer to: Coolant Pump 2.7L EcoBoost .
Install the fuel rail. Refer to: Fuel Rail 2.7L EcoBoost .
