Radiator Lower Hose: Removal

All Vehicles
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the nut and the engine appearance cover.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Loosen the clamps and remove the CAC outlet pipe.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Remove the upper radiator guide pins and support the radiator using cable ties. Use the General Equipment: Cable Ties
- Remove the bolts and the lower radiator support.
Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
Vehicles without PTU (power transfer unit) Cooler
- Pull the radiator lower hose spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the radiator lower hose.
- Release the clamp and remove the radiator lower hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
Vehicles with PTU (power transfer unit) Cooler

- Detach the coolant hose retainer.
- Depress the tabs and disconnect the coolant hose quick disconnect fitting.
- Pull the spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the radiator lower hose.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the radiator lower hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

- Pull the spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the coolant hose.
- Remove the radiator lower hose.
