Heater Hoses: Removal

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the RH upper air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
- Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.
- Loosen the clamp and position the lower air cleaner outlet pipe away from the turbocharger.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Release the clamp and disconnect the tubes. Remove the bolt from the lower air cleaner outlet pipe and position aside. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
- Loosen the RH (Right Hand) CAC lower intake pipe clamp.
- Loosen the RH (Right Hand) CAC upper intake pipe clamp.

- Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Detach the retainer and position the EVAP canister purge valve tube aside.
- Detach the coolant hose from the starter motor bracket.

- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the bypass valve electrical connector and remove the RH (Right Hand) CAC intake pipe.

NOTE: Make sure all openings are sealed.
Release the clamps and disconnect the heater hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

- Detach the coolant hose retainer from the stud bolt.
- Disconnect the coolant hose quick connectors and position the coolant hose assembly aside.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the heater hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

- Detach the heater hose retainers.
- Release the clamp and remove the heater hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
