Pinpoint Test V : The Compass Is Inoperative

  1. V1 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE APIM (SYNC MODULE) SELF-TEST

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the APIM self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to: Information and Entertainment System - Vehicles With: Harman Revel Audio System . or REFER to: Information and Entertainment System - Vehicles With: Harman Revel Ultima Audio System .
    No  GO to  V2

  2. V2 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
    No  DIAGNOSE the APIM. Refer to APIM Guided Routine .
