Pinpoint Test N : The Lights On Indicator Is Never Or Always On: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Lights On Indicator. REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation and Component Description .

If the park lamp status message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the lights on indicator to its last indication state (on or off), based upon the last message received.

If the park lamp status message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the lights on indicator off.
