Brake Vacuum Pump - 3.0L EcoBoost: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the upper RH air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

Loosen the clamp and position the lower RH air cleaner outlet pipe away from the turbocharger.
Torque

: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Loosen the clamp and position the lower RH air cleaner outlet pipe away from the turbocharger.
Torque

: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe LH. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe LH .
Loosen the clamp and position aside the CAC intake lower pipe RH.
Torque

: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Loosen the clamps and remove the CAC upper intake pipe RH.
Torque

: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

1. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
2. Detach the retainer and position the EVAP canister purge valve tube aside.

Detach the coolant hose from the starter motor bracket.

1. Remove the bolt.
  Torque
  
  : 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
2. Disconnect the bypass valve electrical connector and remove the CAC intake pipe RH.

Clean, inspect, and cover all open ports.
Disconnect the vacuum tubes.

Detach the wiring retainer.

Remove the bolts and the vacuum pump.
Torque

: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
