Muffler and Tailpipe: Installation

Clean all the exhaust connections before reassembly.
Install the new muffler and tailpipe flange gasket.

Attach the exhaust isolator.

Position the pipe and install the new muffler and tailpipe flange nuts.
Torque:

30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

NOTE: If a new muffler assembly is installed, tighten the 4 exhaust isolator hanger bolts to specifications.

Install the muffler and exhaust isolator bracket bolts.

Torque:

18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Install the muffler and tailpipe service clamp.
Torque:

33 lb.ft (45 Nm)

Check the exhaust system for leaks.
