Thermostat Housing: Removal

Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding 2.0L EcoBoost . Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding 2.3L EcoBoost .
NOTE: Cover the generator to prevent coolant contamination of the generator.

Completely cover the generator with waterproof plastic. Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

- Remove the bolts and the thermostat housing.
  Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Inspect the O-ring seal and replace if necessary.
