Brake Vacuum Pump: Removal

For information on Ford Color Coded Illustrations refer to OEM Color Coding .

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
2. Release the coupling and disconnect the vacuum tube.

3. Remove the bolts and the brake vacuum pump.

   Torque:

   89 lb.in (10 Nm)

4. NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of corrosion and foreign material.

   Inspect the gasket and install new as necessary.
