Oil Cooler: Installation

  1. Install a new gasket.

  2. Install the oil cooler and the fasteners.

    Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  3. Position the coolant hose and attach the retainer.

    • Install the coolant hoses and clamps. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

    • Remove the hose locking pliers. Use the General Equipment: Locking Pliers

  5. Install the PCM. Refer to: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) .
  6. Attach the wiring harness retainer to the engine mount.

  7. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors and attach the wiring harness retainer.

  8. If equipped, install the wiring harness cover and the retainer.

  9. Install a new engine oil filter and fill the engine with clean engine oil. Refer to: Engine Oil Draining and Filling .
  10. Inspect and adjust the coolant level in the degas bottle.

    Material: Motorcraft ® Orange Prediluted Antifreeze/Coolant / VC-3DIL-B (WSS-M97B44-D2)
