Main Control Cover: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Remove the following items:
1. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
2. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe LH .
3. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
4. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Intake Pipe .
Remove the underbody shield.

Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission. Install the drain plug.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

Disconnect the transmission electrical connector, remove the wiring retainers and position aside the vehicle wiring harness.

Remove the nut from the transmission fluid cooler tube bracket.

Remove the transmission fluid cooler tube secondary latch.

Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission fluid cooler tube.Use Special Service Tool: 307-569 Disconnect Tool TOC Line (1/2).

NOTE: Note the location of the studbolts for assembly.

Remove the bolts and remove the main control cover.
