Normal Operation

This test is used to generate a RVC for a new PSCM when no additional diagnostics are required.
A RVC is required to order a new PSCM and to document billing for payment.
- Y1: VERIFY THE PSCM DTC
- Clear the PSCM DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Wait at least 90 seconds for the modules to completely shut off.
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs.
- Does the DTC return?
Yes No GO to Y2. The condition causing the DTC is not present at this time.
If this is a Ford paid repair, INCLUDE the RVC on the warranty claim form.
When complete, SELECT the "X" in the top right corner to CLOSE this procedure.
- Y2: OBTAIN PSCM RVC
- Obtain the PSCM RVC: In order to claim the SLTS labor operation for completion of the PSCM testing, the code obtained through the link below must be included on the associated warranty claim.
INSTALL a new PSCM.
REFER to Power Steering System .
ORDER a replacement PSCM and INCLUDE the RVC on the form.
If this is a Ford paid repair, INCLUDE the RVC on the warranty claim form. When complete, SELECT the "X" in the top right corner to CLOSE this procedure.
- Obtain the PSCM RVC: In order to claim the SLTS labor operation for completion of the PSCM testing, the code obtained through the link below must be included on the associated warranty claim.
