Oil Cooler: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .
- 2.NOTE: Install the oil fill cap to prevent debris from falling Into the engine.
- 1.
Remove the oil filler cap and the engine appearance cover.
- 2.
Install the oil filler cap.

Remove the Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe. Refer to: Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .
- 4.
Disconnect the quick connect couplings and the turbocharger bypass tube. Refer to: Fuel System General Information .

Disconnect the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) pressure sensor electrical connector.
- 2.
Disconnect the PCV tube quick connect couplings and remove the PCV tube. Refer to: Fuel System General Information .

Release the turbocharger inlet tube from the turbocharger inlet tube bracket grommet.
- 2.
Loosen the turbocharger inlet tube clamp and remove the turbocharger inlet tube.

Using hose locking pliers, clamp the oil cooler coolant hoses.
- 2.
Using the hose clamp remover, remove the coolant hoses.

- 11.NOTE: If metal or foreign material is present in the oil cooler, mechanical concerns exist. To diagnose the mechanical concerns. Refer to: Engine System General Information .
Remove the oil cooler insert bolt and the oil cooler.
- Inspect the oil cooler gasket, replace if necessary.
