Diagnostic Overview 

Diagnostics in this article assume a certain skill level and knowledge of Ford-specific diagnostic practices. Refer to Diagnostic Methods in Service Information for information about these practices.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The APIM communicates with the RCM through the HS-CAN.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
U0151:00 Lost Communication With Restraints Control Module: No Sub Type Information Set by the APIM when network messages are missing from the RCM for more than 5 seconds with the ignition in RUN.
