Pinpoint Test Y : The Power Seat Is Inoperative - Third Row Power-Fold, Left And Right Seats: Notes

Normal Operation

Voltage is supplied to the PFSM from the BCM on circuit CPS48 (BU) and ground on circuit GD151 (BK/GN) to enable the system. The BCM only supplies voltage to circuit CPS48 (BU) when the transmission selector is in PARK. The BCM disables the system after 10 minutes when the ignition is OFF. The BCM re-enables the system for 10 minutes if any door, liftgate or liftgate glass is opened or by pressing the unlock button on the RKE transmitter.

Battery voltage is supplied to the PFSM on circuit SBB70 (BN/RD). The PFSM monitors the third row seat control switch input circuit CPSA1 (WH/GN). The PFSM supplies a switch return/ground to the third row seat control switch on circuit RPSB2 (BN).

DTC B1317:11 (Third Row Power Fold Seat Output: Circuit Short To Ground) - If BCM output to the PFSM is shorted to ground, the BCM disables the output and the DTC is set.
DTC B1317:15 (Third Row Power Fold Seat Output: Circuit Short To Battery or Open) - If BCM output to the PFSM is open or shorted to voltage, the BCM disables the output and the DTC is set.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

Fuse(s)
Wiring, terminals or connectors
Third row seat control switch
BCM
PFSM
