Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
With the ignition set to ON, the BCM sends messages to the TPM module over the MS-CAN. The TPM module monitors the MS-CAN when the ignition has been set to ON for more than 5 seconds. For information on the messages sent to the TPM module by the BCM, refer to the Network Message Chart in Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) .
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| U0140:87 | Lost Communication With Body Control Module: Missing Message | This DTC sets when communications between the TPM module and the BCM fails or if the tire pressure data message is missing for more than 40 milliseconds. This can be due to a BCM failure, a circuit failure on the MS-CAN or an excessive load on the network. |
| U0422:68 | Invalid Data Received from Body Control Module (BCM) : Event Information | This DTC sets when the data contained in the tire pressure data message from the BCM is not within the valid range. This can be due to DTCs being present in the BCM, a BCM failure, or an excessive load on the MS-CAN. |
