Ignition Lock Cylinder - Functional: Removal

NOTE: Individual lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the new lock cylinder to the current key code of the vehicle.

Remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver. Refer to Anti-Theft Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) .

Insert the ignition key and position the ignition lock cylinder to the ACC position.

3.

Using a suitable tool, depress the ignition lock cylinder release pin through the access hole while pulling the ignition lock cylinder outward.
