Body Control Module (BCM) Module Network Input Messages 

Broadcast Message Originating Module Message Purpose
RKE data Radio Transceiver Module (RTM) The RTM sends Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) data to the BCM. The BCM uses this information to lock or unlock the doors, open the liftgate, to activate/deactivate the panic alarm or to request a remote start event.
Vehicle speed Powertrain Control Module (PCM) The BCM uses the vehicle speed data for autolock/auto-unlock and to ignore requests to open the liftgate when the vehicle is in motion.
