Pinpoint Test Z : The Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Indicator Is Never Or Always On: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

See Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Indicator. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .

If the engine service required, transmission service required or 4x4 range fault messages are missing for less than 5 seconds, the powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator remains in the last indication mode (on/off) based upon the last message received.

If the engine service required or transmission service required messages are missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC sets DTC U0100:00 and defaults the powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator on.

If the 4x4 range fault messages are missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC sets DTC U0102:00 and defaults the powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator on.
