Pinpoint Test P : The Charging System Warning Indicator Is Never Or Always On: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Charging System Warning Indicator. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .

If the battery charge low message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the charging system warning indicator to its last state (on or off) based upon the last message received.

If the battery charge low message is missing for longer than 5 seconds, the IPC sets DTC U0140:00 and defaults the charging system warning indicator on.
