Pinpoint Test AZ : The Chime Sounds When The Driver Door Is Ajar (No Key In Ignition And Headlamps Off): Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Key-In-Ignition Warning Chime and Headlamps On Warning Chime, Refer to Warning Chimes .

The chime can sound all the time as a result of a key-in-ignition warning chime concern or a headlamps on warning chime concern.

BCM DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
B10F1:14 Key In Switch: Circuit Short To Ground or Open A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets if the BCM detects an open on the key-in-ignition switch input circuit or if the BCM detects ignition START, RUN/START or RUN/ACC inputs without the key-in-ignition input.
