Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The LTM sends a 5-volt voltage signal to each pinch strip for obstacle detection. The right and left pinch strips return signal circuits are spliced together. When the pinch strip is compressed, the voltage signal is routed to the return circuit, pulling the signal low to indicated an obstruction.
