Inspection and Verification

    Verify the customer concern.

    Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

    Visual Inspection Chart 

    Mechanical Electrical
    Interior rear view mirror BCM fuse 38 (10A)
    Wiring, terminals or connectors
    Interior auto-dimming rear view mirror
    Loose or corroded connections

  1. 3.

    If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.

  1. 4.

    If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom and GO to Symptom Chart - Interior Mirror  or GO to Symptom Chart - NVH  .
