Footwell Duct - Rear: Removal

1.

Remove the front seats. Refer to Seating .

2.

Remove the front floor console. Refer to Instrument Panel and Console .

3.

NOTE: Drive side shown, passenger side similar.

Remove the driver side and passenger side lower cowl trim panels and front door sill plates.

NOTE: Navigator shown, Expedition similar.

Remove the upper and lower instrument panel bracket bolts and position the instrument panel bracket aside.
- 1.
  
  Tighten to 9 Nm (7 lb-ft).
- 2.
  
  Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

5.

Fold back the carpet to completely uncover the rear footwell duct.

Remove the rear footwell duct pin-type retainers and remove the rear footwell duct.
